The Asia-Pacific region contributed 14 percent of the global revenues in the second quarter of 2011 of Motorola Solutions, a global provider of mission-critical communication solutions to government and enterprise customers.
Motorola said the growth in revenue contribution, which was up 12 percent from a year ago, was led by China and Australia.
The company has extensive experience in implementing nationwide Government Radio Networks, which are the critical communication backbone for government mission-critical communications. To-date, Motorola Solutions has implemented five GRNs in Asia-Pacific and supplied subscriber products to several more networks for customers.
Its solutions are trusted by many metro rail networks in major cities, including metros in Shanghai, Beijing, Singapore, Bangkok, Guangzhou, New Delhi, Mumbai, Express Rail in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the high-speed rail network in Taiwan, Indian Railway and Kowloon-Canton Rail Corporation.
"The Asia-Pacific region is one of the fastest growing regions for Motorola Solutions’ business. With the expansion of our global services organization, we expect to expand on our ability to deliver world-class communication solutions that meet the needs of our customers across the region," said Phey Teck Moh, corporate vice president, Asia-Pacific, Motorola Solutions
