Matilda International Hospital has been awarded the Certificate of Accreditation from the exemplary Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS), one of the first private hospitals in Hong Kong to obtain the accreditation.
“Hospital accreditation is now adopted worldwide, and it is a vital international benchmark for quality improvement and patient safety. We are pleased that Matilda International Hospital is among the first hospitals in Hong Kong to achieve this industry recognition,” said Mary Rafferty, Chief Executive Officer of MIH.
“The accreditation validates the hospital’s commitment in upholding gold standards in risk, clinical, and corporate management. We will strive to meet and even exceed these standards, and in the process, provide the highest calibre of care and service at MIH,” she added.
Professor Karen Linegar, Vice President of ACHS, came to Hong Kong from Australia to present the Certificate of Accreditation to MIH.
"We look forward to working with our Hong Kong partners to sustain safe and quality healthcare standards for all patients,” she said.
In addition to the ACHS accreditation, MIH holds accreditations from ISO 9001, the Hong Kong College of Obstetricians and Gynaecology (HKCOG), and Lloyd’s Register for the Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems.
Established in 1974, ACHS is Australia's leading healthcare accreditation agency and is recognized by the International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua) for both its standards and accreditation program.
