The King County District Court (KCDC) in Seattle, Washington, processes over 240,000 cases annually. To provide faster and more convenient records access throughout the court system, and reduce storage and management costs, KCDC deployed a custom electronic court record system. This paper looks at the steps the KCDC took in building the system with the help of a local IT and business consulting firm and several vendors including EMC .
