In conjunction with its centennial celebration, De La Salle University (DLSU), a leading university in the Philippines, has upgraded its IT systems to better servve its students, faculty and alumni as part of its "The Future Begins Here" campaign.

The upgrade replaced the university's homegrown system with PeopleSoft Enterprise Campus solutions and is expected to help the school adopt quickly to the changing requirements of higher education, and streamline business processes.

The new system are expected to provide its faculty with a complete calendar view of teaching schedule, full self-service capabilities, one-click email to one or a select group of students in a class, review students' academic progress and integrate student information system.

Moreover, the campus solution deployed will allow alumni contributors to have access to a detailed history of their involvement with the institution. The system can also help create college fund raising strategies and programs, including target audience cultivation, contact reports, to-do lists, donor management, processing of contributions, and communications tracking.

“De La Salle University has turned to Oracle for comprehensive and responsive campus solutions to support our current needs.  It also complements our growth plans,” said Edwin P. Santiago, De La Salle University Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Services.  “With Oracle’s PeopleSoft Enterprise Campus Solutions we are confident that we will be able to provide services and information conveniently, online, and in real-time to our students.”
