Do-it-yourself tax preparation service rolled out for Indian professionals

Tax management solutions provider Paisaa Innovative Solutions recently introduced TaxMunshi, which is a do-it-yourself tax preparation service for salaried professionals in India. The system allows users to complete ITR-1 and ITR-2 in about twenty minutes. TaxMunshi is Paisaa's response to evolving consumer needs.
TaxMunshi's simple question-and-answer interface guides users through the tax preparation process. In a few easy steps, the user can provide basic personal information, along with income, adjustment & deduction information and details of taxes paid. The application generates the appropriate Income Tax Return form. The user can either turn in the printed form to the local income tax office or upload the XML to Income Tax Department (ITD)’s website and mail acknowledgement to ITD.
Information entered into the system resides in a secure environment so that users can access it anytime anywhere. Returning users can start from past forms to make the process of tax filing faster.
