Hong Kong is moving towards the establishment of a common electronic health record system (like many countries in the world) but distinguishes the SAR from the rest of the world is inclusion of private healthcare practitioners very early on in the planning. Wong, co-chairman of the eHealth Consortium discusses the results of a recent survey to gauge private sector understanding and acceptance of eHR as a model for future healthcare service delivery.
