What if the computing system that can beat humans in a game of Jeopardy could also be used in healthcare for diagnosis and treatment of diseases? The idea is not too farfetched as a research effort is now underway to deeply integrate speech recognition and imaging technologies with a computer's ability to understand the meaning and context of human language.
