Korean government agency creates smart phone app, launches mp3 service

SEOUL -- The Korea National Park Service said recently it is going to provide information on Korea via smartphones and mp3s in Korean, English and Japanese.
For its trial run, the apps will feature the Bukhan Mountain in northern Seoul, its history, culture and ecology in storytelling format.
The files can be downloaded for free at the Korea National Park homepage, the Korea Tourism Organization homepage and from Apple’s app store from March.
“This service will be very useful to tourists and people who love to visit national parks. We also provide useful information on the ecology, history of national parks. We are going to provide this in storytelling format to make it interesting and enjoyable to listen to,” a Korea National Park Service staff member was quoted in Korea.net. as saying.
The service is expected to be expanded in the next six months to provide more information on the Korea National Parks.
