Singapore boosts infocomm industry

The export of public service infocomm will be boosted by the synergy derived from a Global Business Development Center of Excellence.
The Center, which is the result of a partnership between the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA), the International Enterprise (IE) Singapore and the IDA International, will accelerate market access and expand the overseas business opportunities for Singapore infocomm companies with the formulation of concerted go-to-market strategies.
The aims of the Center are to promote Singapore’s e-Government capabilities, to better capture the value of Singapore’s market position as a leader in e-Government, and to help increase Singapore’s infocomm export revenue. The Center will serve as the central arm to formulate and manage business development process for target markets. It will map out marketing strategies and tools to market “Made-by-Singapore” public service infocomm solutions.
In additional to Singapore infocomm companies, the Center will work with other partners like the Singapore infocomm Technology Federation (SiTF) and overseas counterparts to broaden market access and strengthen its business development capabilities.
