Taiwan turns to online direct hiring of foreign workers

Starting this year, companies in Taiwan will be able to find foreign workers without having to go through labor brokers.
A report in the government website said that the Council of Labor Affairs (CLA) will set up manpower databanks will be set up in different countries and provide matchmaking services for employers.
Among the services to be offered is online application system for workers to send their applications and for employers to process the applications whether they are for first-time hiring or repeat hiring. The process will be completed through the CLA Direct Hiring Service Center for proper documentation.
The CLA noted that the online hiring will cost nothing except for general processing fee and would translate to huge savings for employers and applicants.
